You are invited to the last 7DX party in history...

Finally we have reached the final leg of the biggest and the longest Turkish Demoscene event which has been taking place for 14 years in a row starting from the year of 2002... We are expecting everybody who are interested in scene to Bogazici University Computer Engineering Laboratories between 21st and 22nd of March 2015...

7DX 2015 – The Last Party

Why is this the last 7DX...

The terminological meaning of the first party 7d2, like we've already explained several times, comes from hexadecimal equivalent of the year 2002. Since then, we used hexadecimal representations of the party year to the 7d9 (2009). When we reached at 2010, we didn't want to continue like 7DA but instead we choose 7DX and the year next to it like 7DX 2010.

Even if we've chosen to hide, X was mysteriously kept increasing. 7DA, 7DB, 7DC, 7DD, 7DE, 7DF. 7DX was meant to reach to the year of 2015 and it did... 2016 was a new milestone, because if was equal to 7E0. Because of this reason, we've come to an end of 7DX just like the The Mayan Calendar.

What's up with the party?

Like every year, this year is going to be a "have fun & produce" organization which is a gathering of sceners, visual effect programmers, CG artists, digital musicians, old and retro computer enthusiastics, hardware gurus and students...

Concept?

7DX is fading away. We have to dig a nice grave to it. We're aiming to have emotional moments with our visitors by video and photograph shows which sheds light on 7DX history...

Why should I come?

Joining to the funeral ceremony and doing the last honors to a party which is been happening for last 14 years consecutively in Turkey is as important as witnessing the destruction of the Berlin wall....

Some events like competitions, courtesies, presentations etc. will be announced from 7DX web site soon...
